  1. Vision

Aerospace Systems Group aims at developing and advancing key domains such as aircraft, satellites, and spacecraft. The vision of this group is to progress along developing aerospace systems in line with prominent worldwide research centers. Therefore, alongside educating top-tier aerospace researchers and engineers, the group actively collaborates with industry—a core mission of the university. Besides, collaboration with other scientific domains is considered as one of the group objectives to strengthen interdisciplinary research.

  1. Group Introduction

The Aerospace Systems Group consists of three specializations: Flight Dynamics and Control, Space Engineering, and Satellite Technology. This group conducts studies on the design of aerospace vehicles, analysis of their stability and performance, and methods of their operation and control.

  • Flight Dynamics and Control specialization examines flying vehicles within the atmospheric environment. In this specialization, theoretical and engineering methods are used to design flight vehicles and analyze their performance. Areas within this field mainly include the design and mission planning of aircraft, followed by performance, stability, guidance, control, and navigation studies.
  • The Space Engineering specialization deals with the creation, development, construction, and operation of vehicles and equipment used in space as satellites, spacecraft, space stations, space capsules, and communication systems. Areas in this field include design and modeling of space systems, energy engineering, space robotics engineering, guidance and control of these vehicles.
  • The Satellite Technology specialization focuses on design, development, construction, and operation of satellites and their related equipment. Areas within this field include satellite design, launch and applications, their control, guidance and navigation, and space laws and regulations.
